Premium and promo codes
Keep Growing is free to start, with no card. Premium adds a few things on top. Right now Premium comes from codes: there is no payment option in the app.
Free and Premium
The free plan includes reminders, the care log with photos, the calendar, Community and groups, all languages, and up to 15 plants.
Premium adds:
- Unlimited plants.
- Shared households, one garden for the people you live with (see Share a garden with your household).
- No ads. Visitors and free accounts may see ads; Premium accounts see none, and their devices never load the ad code.
There are two levels:
- Premium (full): everything above. It can last a set number of days or for life, depending on the code.
- Premium trial: a time-limited way to try the features. A trial includes shared households and no ads, but the 15-plant limit stays during a trial, so a trial cannot be used to store a big garden.
Your plan is shown at the top of Profile: for example "Free plan · 12 of 15 plants", "Premium until 12 Nov" or "Premium · Lifetime", with a small bar showing how full your garden is.
Redeem a code
- Open Profile and press Redeem a code on the plan card.
- Type or paste the code. It does not matter whether you use capitals or lowercase, and spaces are ignored.
- Press Redeem.
If someone sent you a link that starts with keepgrow.ing/redeem/, opening it shows what the code gives (for example "Premium for life" or "A Premium trial until a date") and a Redeem button. The page only shows you the code. It is used up only when you press the button. The end date counts from the moment you redeem.
What you might see
- "Done. You have Premium until …" or "…for life": it worked.
- "That code is not valid or can no longer be used." The code may be mistyped, expired or used up. We do not say which, on purpose.
- "You have already used this code." Each person can redeem a code once.
- "You already have this much Premium or more." Nothing changed and the code was not used up.
- "Too many tries." After 10 wrong attempts in an hour you have to wait an hour before trying again, even with a right code.
Stacking
A trial never takes anything away from full Premium you already have. Two trials do not add up: the one that ends later wins.
When the 15-plant limit applies
On the free plan, when you have 15 plants, the Add screen explains that your garden is full and offers to redeem a code. Every plant you have stays. If you have more than 15 (for example, after Premium ends), nothing is deleted, hidden or locked: you can keep logging and editing them, and only adding new ones needs Premium.
Merging gardens counts as adding: joining a household and merging your plants in would need the household's owner to have full Premium if it takes the garden past 15.
When Premium or a trial ends
- Plants: all stay, as above.
- Households: the household pauses, and members cannot open it until its owner has Premium again. Nothing is deleted. It comes back at once when Premium is back, even in the same session. See "When a household pauses" in the household guide.
- Notices: the app tells you in the app, from three days before the end. It never sends a notification about it.
